Wooden tower, Birkenes

project: design competition, public outlook tower, 1994

The tower is shown as a 40 m high boat hull, with a staircase leading to a view platform at 25 m hight. The staircase platforms make the spans in the construction. The hull is made out of two layers of wood with reinforcing glass fiber in between, and with a base of concrete and natural stone.
